The argument then is that Confirmation is no longer required. Good luck there, indeed! Moravians may be smaller in number but the are very faithful orthodox Christians. How odd that the resolution talks about consultation with other in the Anglican Communion as well as other denominations. Why bother? TEc has never listened to others in the WWAC before this. Believe me the Moravians won't be falling for this nonsense.Alexihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09222877183938209659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7107887.post-55609707108930514272012-06-14T21:49:10.871-04:002012-06-14T21:49:10.871-04:00Pewster, All I can say is thank God that the conv...Pewster, All I can say is thank God that the convention of this Diocese (SC) changed the diocesan constitution to no longer accede to the Canons of TEC. Lets see, baptism is all you need to be a member of the church. Of course, you can take communion without being baptized! AND be elected to any office at parish, diocesan or national level all you have to do is take communion three times a year ( for which you don't need to be baptized) and have been faithful in corporate worship, etc. So if both of these resolutions passed, truthfully you would not need to even be baptized to hold any office. Terrific news for all those pagans who want to hold office in an Episcopal parish or diocese. I agree Pewster, how did this get out of a committee? Did those who wrote this resolution decide that the communion of the unbaptized resolution was a sure thing so some other decided to go ahead and make resolutions? to axe confirmation? Truly the oddest application of logic........ <br />SCBlu Cat LadyAlexihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09222877183938209659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7107887.post-33088375342207948302012-06-13T14:09:58.547-04:002012-06-13T14:09:58.547-04:00Doh!
