The benefit of getting up close to these flowers is that you can really see how the spider lily got its name.

The benefit of recalling a bit of scripture is ... priceless.Undergroundpewsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10182191422663119484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7107887.post-67124417548265361162011-05-18T12:46:27.052-04:002011-05-18T12:46:27.052-04:00What beautiful pictures. The day before this trip I know they were planning on "recreational flow," but I am not sure what they were doing on Sunday afternoon. The spider lilies require moving water to flourish so there is always some flow.

I think the total fall is 32 feet spread out over a mile and a half, but don't quote me on that. I think I read that on a marker near the lower locks.Undergroundpewsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10182191422663119484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7107887.post-18328981713613505292011-05-18T08:59:40.128-04:002011-05-18T08:59:40.128-04:00That's a nice looking stream.
