All kinds of thunder, lightning and storm here.
Apocalyptic? Yep. An omen?
Obvs, the UK just got rid of hereditary peerage in the HOL, disaste...

I'm St. Jerome! I'm a passionate Christian, fiercely devoted to Jesus Christ and his Church. I am willing to labor long hours in the Lord’s vineyard, and I have little patience with those who are less willing or able to work as I do. My passions often carry me into temptation zones of wrath, lust, and pride. Find out which Church Father you are at The Way of the Fathers! |
The Bells, The Bells, The Bells....
ReplyDeleteI am very much enjoying the meditation bells that Pewster has directed us to, and have in fact downloaded them so I can use them away from home. Having been introduced to Christian Meditation by a link in this same blog, I am finding the bells a very practical aid. Like many Americans who did not grow up in the tradition of meditation, I often have problems with focusing----the tones are a tremendous help with that. It would be wonderful if the Episcopal church could actually have a class in this; I would certainly go, and I think a lot of other people would too.
Once upon a time, (during Lent?) we studied different types of prayer. Centering prayer or is not something we do on Sundays. It certainly takes practice. It could be done as a Wednesday p.m. group in the parlor, or maybe Charlie would like to try it on the Lenten devotees. (Food always brings in the hungry.)
