Through the eyes of an Irish Bishop, this is an interesting look at how we may be slouching towards Gomorrah (or maybe San Francisco).

Sometimes, please don't laugh, the drive to Dallas down I35 isn't so bad
and that's the way it was yesterday. No wrecks, no bumper to bumper
crazines...

Bishop Miller's penultimate question sounds very much like John Shelby Spong and his ilk. And, like Bishop Miller, if this is the path chosen by TEC, I do not choose to follow. I prefer the one, holy, catholic and apostolic faith...the faith of our fathers.
ReplyDeleteVery powerful and a bit scary. His observations seem almost unreal.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Bishop Miller's words would come across to our congregants if presented as a Sunday sermon?
ReplyDeleteDear telmeimrong, do you doubt the accuracy of his observations?
ReplyDeletenot in the least. i was saying that the reality of it is scary.
ReplyDeleteThe reality of an entire Christian denomination falling apart at the seams over a dispute about the authority of Scripture is not only scary, it's unbelievable. Perhaps our only option, as suggested in Romans 10:13, is to call upon the Lord to save us. Unlike the crowd at 815, that option still works for me.
