Il est né!

(From the Family Tree)

Il est né le divin enfant,
Jouez hautbois, résonnez musette.
Il est né le divin enfant,
Chantons tous son avènement.

Depuis plus de quatre mille ans
Nous le promettaient les prophètes,
Depuis plus de quatre mille ans
Nous attendions cet heureux temps.

(Refrain)

Une étable est son logement,
Un peu de paille est sa couchette,
Une étable est son logement,
Pour un dieu quel abaissement.

(Refrain)

O Jésus, ô roi tout puissant,
Tout petit enfant que vous êtes,
O Jésus, ô roi tout puissant,
Régnez sur nous entièrement.

(Refrain)

Merry Christmas, my Anglican friend. I pray that God will give you the strength this coming year to continue to defend the faith. May He he continue to bless you and keep you and yours close to Him during these trying times.

    Amen.

    Cheers from your Baptist friend,

    R. Sherman

This year at the late service pre-liturgy carols and hymns, I sang O Holy Night in the original french. I thought I was safe from critique until just before I sang it was brought to my attention that the young lady from France who had been an exchange student with one of our parish families decided to visit and was in the congregation.
    But no pressure.
    Merry Christimas, and Noel.
