Trick question?
No, really, what was your first thought when you read the title?
Was it Debbie Boone or Whitney Houston?
If so, read on...
I was reading Psalm 18 the other day, and a little light went off as I read,
Number two, nobody other than the Lord can light my candle.
Number three, it isn't my candle in the first place.

I was reading Psalm 18 the other day, and a little light went off as I read,
"For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness"
(Psalm 18:28)Number one, I cannot light my own candle.
Number two, nobody other than the Lord can light my candle.
Number three, it isn't my candle in the first place.
How true, not our candle and the Lord can let it shine or snuff it out as he wishes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phillip.
DeleteWell I was going to make a joke about TEC claiming to own the candle, but then I remembered
ReplyDelete"Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent."(Revelation 2:5 ESV)
That case is already judged, and TEC lost the light.
Tim,
DeleteTEc thought they took the candles, but all they got was roadside warning flares.
