The South Carolina Fourteen

The news in South Carolina of a recent court ruling appears to indicate that fourteen parishes in the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina will be ceded to the National Episcopal organization. I honestly don't know if the churches will have to be sold because of empty pews, but if history is to be followed, they will not be sold to Anglicans.

These 14 parishes are as follows:

Christ Church, Mt. Pleasant
Good Shepherd, Charleston
Holy Comforter, Sumter
Holy Cross, Statesburg
Holy Trinity, Charleston
St. Bartholomew’s, Hartsville
St. David’s, Cheraw
St. Luke’s, Hilton Head
St. Matthew’s, Fort Motte
St. James, Charleston
St. John’s, Johns Island
St. Jude’s, Walterboro
Trinity, Myrtle Beach
Old St. Andrew’s, Charleston

I am acquainted with some of the priests and parishioners of these churches, and my prayers are with them in these difficult times.

Very sad. I suspect several will fold, with their parishioners departing for Anglican places.

    1. Once the Episcopalians take over those buildings, their congregations will have to grow, which is not something Episcopalians can do because they preach a false gospel.

A battle is raging. Satan is coming with an "eviction notice" to attempt to force us to leave the lonely, righteous path of light. He would have us take the route to the dungeon of darkness. If we are not careful, we will be snared in a web of deceit and tossed asunder as unsuspecting passengers on a long black train to nowhere. “But not us, because we will stand firm on the foundation of the almighty. God is our Fortress. We will NOT be deceived. You can only enter God’s Kingdom through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. There's victory in the Lord. They may silence us, but they won't silence GOD. The usurpers will meet their destiny, eternal damnation for unparalleled sins and oppression of the righteous. Come what may come our way. Bring it on. There will be retribution if not from us, then from the Almighty.

    1. We can look to their experience as a guide that shows us that there is life when we shake the dust from our shoes.
