An unsanctioned, underground forum from a blogger in the Upstate of South Carolina.
I'm St. Jerome! I'm a passionate Christian, fiercely devoted to Jesus Christ and his Church. I am willing to labor long hours in the Lord’s vineyard, and I have little patience with those who are less willing or able to work as I do. My passions often carry me into temptation zones of wrath, lust, and pride. Find out which Church Father you are at The Way of the Fathers! |
Why would you put such a thing on your blog? It is racist, totally unfunny and blasphemous to me that this kind of humor would take Christmas and degrade it. I thought you were supposed to be of a higher standard.
ReplyDeleteI warned you!
ReplyDeleteI reject the notion that I have offended the terrorist race.
Off topic: Because I don't know you, I shall not feel bad about swiping your definition/explanation of "false teaching." Well said and spot on.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
Swipe away, the phrase the "cruelty of heresy" came from a book of the same name by +C. Fitz Allison.
ReplyDelete(That comment from R. Sherman was about a thread on a post of his on Being a Christian at Christmas).
Actually anonymous - Jingle Bells is not a Christmas Song - it is a winter song about a bunch of intoxicated teenagers and young 20 somethings racing their sleighs and picking up women - the quivalent to cruising in the 50's, bar hopping in the 70's etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anon #2,
ReplyDeleteI always wondered why my sister's High School music teacher refused to allow "Jingle Bells" to be performed at their school Christmas shows.
One of my favorite comedians, but, alas, I hear he's been canceled by the Comedy Channel.
