Prayer Request

This past Sunday, my neighbor was hospitalized with the corona virus. He is elderly and has a serious comorbidity affecting multiple organ systems. Pewsterspouse and I were in his house briefly on Friday. We shared some watermelon with his spouse on the porch while he stayed inside. So far, we are fine. Please pray for him and his family who were in closer contact than with him than us. His name is Jim.

Lord, watch over Jim and his family. Give them the strength to get through this illness. Hear our prayer. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayers said, and will continue. It is good that treatments are more refined than they were early in the epidemic, but his risk is high. Lord, in your mercy, preserve the life of your child Jim, guide and direct his medical team, and give comfort to his family and friends.

    1. Lord be with his immune system to fight this off and guide the health care professionals.

    2. Good news thus far. After an infusion of donor plasma form someone who had survived the virus, my neighbor is improving and was sent home from the hospital. Pray that his breathing remains stable and thank the Lord for his intervention with the medical team and the donor of the plasma.

    3. 08/14/2020 Update: He is still testing positive but feels okay, and he has been unable to receive treatment for his chronic disease. He will be travelling to Chapel Hill for treatment next week. Pray that the treatment does not reactivate the virus.

Pewster, if you and Mrs. Pewster were in that house Friday last week, this is the time you'd come down with symptoms if you were going to. I pray that won't happen, and I pray Jim's family are also all right.
