A NYC Roman Catholic church that needs disciplinary action

I am so used to seeing this sort of thing from the declining mainstream protestant denominations, but not from the Roman Catholics Church,

A Catholic church in New York City is facing backlash over a display titled, “God Is Trans: A Queer Spiritual Journey.”

The display at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle is drawing the ire of some parishioners, according to the New York Post, with one member saying, “The church should not be promoting this.”

“I understand there are transgender people,” the churchgoer told the Post. “I pray for all people, but enough is enough. It seems like they are trying to force the agenda on others. Also, when a friend asked a priest about this, they didn’t answer; you can’t put this out on the altar and then hide.”

“That’s what gets the church in trouble,” the congregant added.

Artist Adah Unachukwu described the exhibit as “a queer spiritual journey” in three steps: “sacrifice, identity, and communion.” The designer wrote the following explanation:

There were some, though, impressed by the exhibit at the “very liberal” church.

“I don’t understand the art, but this church is very liberal, which is why I love this church,” said Cherri Ghosh, an 80-year-old parishioner.

The Post sought comment from the spokesman for the Archdiocese of New York, but he declined to offer a statement on the matter, telling the outlet he was not aware of the exhibit.

Pray that the Church comes down hard on this church and expels any false teachers therein.

That may be praying for a miracle, but they do happen.

There are lots of "liberal" Catholic parishes all over the country. In fact, it can be hard to find one which is clearly traditional.

St. Paul the Apostle would deal very harshly with this one!

The display has been taken down and the Archdiocese is investigating. They say they learned of it only through the media and had no knowledge of it beforehand.
