So sad. UMC congregations had good chances to get out. Your relative will have to choose now between staying with a non-Christian organization, finding a Christian congregation with which to worship, or giving up his faith entirely. He needs your prayers.
ReplyDeleteFrom the World article, here's how they're pulling this off. About 25% of congregations in the US left, so their votes are gone, and something like 25% of the African delegates couldn't get visas. I would imagine, after this conference, the UMC will be American liberals only. The Africans are strongly opposed to this sinful agenda, and will probably depart the denomination.
